I’m Subhangi, an interior designer based in Bangalore. At HomeLane I work as a Design Associate on residential projects: I turn a client’s requirements and routines into layouts, plan modular kitchens, wardrobes and furniture, and present the design in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
I help clients choose materials and colours, then coordinate with vendors and the execution team until the units are on site. Before HomeLane, I worked with the design team at Livspace on 2D layouts, furniture planning and presentations.
I studied interior design at Chandigarh University, where my projects covered residential and commercial space planning, including a community centre.
Tools, and what I use them for
- AutoCAD for 2D layouts and modular kitchen, wardrobe and furniture plans
- SketchUp for presentation models and design reviews with clients
- Lumion for basic renders and visualisation
Where I’m heading
Residential work taught me to plan around how people actually live. I want to bring the same attention to offices and workplaces, where storage, circulation and daily routines matter just as much. Longer term, I want to run an independent practice.
Homes, now. Workplaces, next. A studio of my own, someday.
